That is one sweet car! I hope it sees the road again, it deserves it and it looks like its in pretty decent shape. I would leave it as is just make it a good running and safe car. What are your plans for it? Keeping it or selling it? You should really get it off the grass though so the floor doesn't rot away from the moisture. It looks great with those old Cragars on it, it sounds badass too. Looks like it was someones hot rod once judging from the rims, valve covers, dual exhaust, etc. Oh, I love the jokes too! My niece who just turned 8 will love those when I tell her!

Hi! Guys! Great video! I really enjoy the way you guys work so well together. I enjoy your humor. Ha! ha! I am an old guy too, and have been a Ford guy my whole life. This car brings back memories to me. It reminds me of a moonshine tanker car. Ha! ha! I wonder if the engine in your car could be a 312 Thunderbird motor. It seems pretty snappy for a 292. And it is set up with factory dual exhaust manifolds, and a 4V Carburetor. ... Back in 1959 my family lived in Tennessee. My dad had bought a new 1959 Ford with a 292 in it. Dad use to haul his tools, and pipes in the trunk. So he installed air bags on the rear springs. It was still a low rider. He use to work the night shirt at a trucking line. They worked nights because it was cooler in the shop to work. Anyhow he got pulled over several times by the moonshine revenuers. Because they thought he was a shine hauler. Ha! ha! I had a 1957 Ford years ago, and I put a 352 4 barrel Mercury motor in it. That was a great runner with plenty of power. I have owned many Fords over the years. I still have a 1963 1/2 XL like the one you guys are working on. I have had my 63 for almost 50 years. I will put a link here to a video of my 63 if you are interested to take a look. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqHNhpWJr7-YZtU You guys have a great father son relationship, and make great videos together. That's a nice 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 sedan that you and your dad uploaded on KZbin and it looks like the car in the 1979 movie called "Wiseblood" where Hazel Motes (Brad Dourif) a 22-year-old war veteran of an unspecified war and a preacher of the Church of Truth Without Christ, a religious organization of his own creation, which is against any belief in God, an afterlife, sin, or evil. Drives a faded red and white 1957 Ford Fairlane that Hazel bought for $225 at a savage yard driving across different towns and states with that car and you should watch the full movie with your dad on KZbin. Unless someone changed the intake and exhaust, that could well be a 312. 292 never had a 4 barrel but the 312 did. The 292 exhaust pipe came up from the front of the left manifold crossed over the top front of the engine and into the front of right manifold then out the rear of the right manifold into a single exhaust pipe. 312 had dual exhaust. When I was in high school in the late sixties, everyone wanted a '57 Chevy. Me being a contrarian and a Ford child, I drove a '57 Ford Club Victoria. I bought it from a guy for $49 and some change with a blown up 292 automatic Pulled a 352 out of a wrecked '60 T-Bird out behind the barn and a top loader 4 speed from somewhere. Over the years I changed many engines from a 390 Interceptors from wrecked cop cars. To building up a a 428 Cobra Jet which was the final engine before it was totaled in a race. I still have that old Cobra Jet engine gathering dust in the corner of my shop for 30 plus years.

Just pulled one of these '57 Fords out of the weeds back in March, only mine was a Skyliner retractable hardtop. Its much rougher than this one, it's been parked since 1971.

Rev, looks like you an the old man /dad were having a barrel of fun with the old 57 Fairlane. Once again another old Ford that hasn't ran in many a year is getting ready to hit the highway once again. That is after a few things get lined out. Like the brakes for one. An maybe new radiator. You guys are awesome. Love watching your videos. You just can't keep an old Ford down. Keep on keeping on. You'll pass 15,000 subscribers an you won't even know it. You'll just look at it one day an you will have passed 25,000. That ok 57 is going to make one awesome ride. You guys have a great weekend an god bless.😁👍👍

Let er idle for awhile the rings might settle in stop smoking. Those offenhouser valve covers super rare speed parts along with the Edelbrock intake. In a few minutes the old man turned into a race ready teenager on a Saturday night that’s awesome he let er rip. Now it’s ready for a oil and filter change. Have a Blessed One Sir.

Interesting fact. '57 was the only year that Ford outsold it's Chevy counterpart. That very well could be an old 352. If it was and if it was the the police interceptor, it would have solid lifters and be over 300 hp.
