@G hrvyck Yep, I know. I've tried all the induction combinations,too. I had a partial frame Fairmount Futura with a BBFord 466. Two-fours on a tunnel ram. 1432's, tubs, 9", etc. mid tens, street driven.

What a surprise to see a 406 big block set neatly into this very nice 57 two door custom 300. The restored classic itself is a car any collector could be proud of but that big v8 would really make that light two door get up and go. Did not notice what kind of transmission it had, probably would have to have a beefed up four speed, drive line and rear end to handle the extra torque and horse power.

406 Tri power FE motors are extremely hard to find! Especially since it was only built only in 1962-63...

The "Fairlane" didn't have roof pillars guys. This is a 57 "Custom 2-Door".

The only thing I would change is to shave off the two front headlight bezels making them more flush with the body kind of like the rear taillights! But she sure is pretty

I think the FE was available, but to early for the 406.

The FE motors weren’t introduced until 1958. The 406 displacement wasn’t until 1962

Could be wrong but I thought the 300 had no side chrome. Fairlane had side chrome.

Although it is a pretty car, I don't like modifying vintage classic cars in this way. I feel they should be restored, period correct, as they came off the assembly line. This one is too modified for me.
