1957 Ford Ranchero

Jerry Frye hits the highlights on this frame-off restored 1957 Ford Ranchero. The Ranchero was introduced in December of 1956 and was built on the automobile assembly line but marketed and sold through the Ford Truck Division. Sharing most of its components with the full-size Ford Custom line, the Ranchero had many carryover parts from the two-door Ranch Wagon, using a reinforced steel bed instead of the wagon rear end.

Nice that you mentioned very he seems very knowledgeable I've talked to him several times over the phone he definitely knows his 59 Fords also the man is literally a 50s Ford encyclopedia I like all the ranchers but I have to say I like the 59 best just seems to be a little different looking the 58s are pretty smooth too well heck all three of the '50s rancheros are custom cars right out of the factory and that's a fact Jack thank you for posting the video and if you ever get a chance to get one of these folks grab one they're getting pretty rare 🙉🙈🙊

Ford may have chosen the name Ranchero because the platform for the first generation was the Ford Ranch Wagon.
