1958 MGA Restoration 30a Fender Welting

Fender welting and fender install has started!! I consider this a milestone that requires a beer or two to celebrate with! And because it's a Saturday ...
I purchased some chrome-like fender welting not used on an MGA. I think I like it, but I need to get used to the idea of what I'm looking at. Trimming the stuff was actually pretty easy, and didn't take long. Because I work alone, I used a blow torch to head up a screw driver, which I used to poke a hole through the beading flange. I was able to fasten this to the car with bolts and measure off correctly the amount I needed, and fine tune the relief cuts so that it curved correctly.
The welting flange (flange?), the piece that actually goes between the fender and the body, is 1.5 inches, much wider than what comes native to an MGA. Having read folks here complain how the welting squeezes out of that area, and looking at how much I have, I'm positive I won't have that consideration.
I'll be doing the right side rear tomorrow.

For the fender welt? None, sofar as I know. It's all polyester
