I'm new to this stuff and haven't removed or replaced any timing gears yet. I can see that the gears have marks to line them up, but should the cylinders (or rods or the crank) be in a certain position (like TDC) when you're putting the gears on, or does that not matter?

do you have proplem with guilds closing up days later after honing them

the KPMI guides prove to be really reliable in being true to size after hone. that being said i do let it "cool down" and recheck after honing to be sure its accurate.

hi i cycle my guilds in head after honing i heat to 300 in oven let cool down then freeze head in refrator, i use kibblewhite guilds too, i had these guilds close up on me, my inter fit is .0015 to .002. after cycling heads guilds stay stable
