1960 Jaguar MK IX Full Review

Hi everyone this video is a full review of the jaguar MK 9
a classic car that I had a chance to film on a very special day hope you like and enjoy. I was very lucky to film both exterior and interior because the cars are usually in a museum I was very happy to experience this jaguar from close up.

Love the Mk IX, couple of errors. The XK engine is a straight six, not V6. The other, the speed hold switch behind the steering wheel to the left isn't cruise control. It is "intermediate speed hold" it is to hold the automatic gearbox in second gear. The middle the 3 gears the BW automatic box has. Stops box changing up and down, useful when overtaking or on a windy piece of road. Won't see it on a manual gearbox version, but if you have manual plus overdrive s similar switch controls the overdrive. Cheers. John Gathard.

Don't think the Jag had cruise control. It had a separate switch for holding intermediate gear.

This person knows nothing about this Mark IX. It was not cruise control and it is not a V6. It is a straight six-cylinder with dual overhead cams.

What happens when a kid who thinks he knows cars encounters a classic build. Window "controls, up and down", "battery in the back" seems to be an add on, as there was one under the bonnet (hood). For being a god, there seems to be a lot he does not know. What an idiot showing a wonderful car.
