Great video! I'm the second owner of a 60 Lincoln I bought back in 1980. It's the base model lincoln so it has a different roof line and back window otherwise it's very similar to the Continental. I'm glad I held onto it because it's fun to hear the comments from the people at car shows. I've heard them all like how many bodies will fit in the trunk, and do I need a cdl license, and do I own my own gas station! As far as the styling, some think it ugly(more so the 58),and some beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! The 59 Buick had slanted headlights too and most people think it one of the most attractive buicks made, myself included!

One of my favorites ! If I remember correctly, the 1958 - 60 Lincolns were the largest unit-body cars ever produced. The reason for all of the sharp angles in the body is one of structural integrity. Without a conventional frame, the car had a tendency to flex quite a bit. This meant engineers had to make the body thicker and full of sharp angles, which is why the doors are so heavy. I love Country Classic Cars, and made several trips when I lived in Columbia, MO. Haven't been back in a while. Great video !

Almost exact same car that my grandmother had, her's had the original full leather interior. Beautiful car! Drove like a dream, only one issue, the windshield wipers ran off of a vacuum pump-very annoying. Really miss that car.... Thanks for the trip down memory lane!!

A great looking ride! Those Lincolns sure had a personality. It seems that the car invites you to come on in, sit down, and take a ride.

Cadillac has always made a fine automobile. Yeah, it was really hot and humid today.

The asking price is very reasonable and you're getting your money's worth compared to the plastic cars of today

There was one '60 model in my hometown in Southern California. Since it was the only one you always knew either the husband or the wife was at the wheel. In one respect it was cool because you always knew it was the Blair family. Then again, if you're always where you should be, you had nothing to worry about. Theirs was the light beige/ tan I recall. We kids were all jealous, naturally. Interesting design and if I am remembering correctly, Raymond Burr drove one upon occasion in Perry Mason - and Paul Drake drove the classy Thunderbird.

Man that's in nice condition, especially that interior. Personally the styling is kind of kitsch and a bit ridiculous, but man it has character in spades. Not many of these left either, Cadillac outsold them like 5 to 1 back then and I'm sure a lot of these ended up in demolition derbies.

I believe these were the longest non modified (limos are stretched) automobiles built by ford motor company. Maybe the longest cars built in the USA . Wheel base is something like 130 I think. Anyway, another unique feature on these were the ac and heat ducts actually pass through the front doors to adjustable vents for rear seated passengers. With that much interior room , it was probably necessary to heat and cool the interior. Beautiful automobile.

This 1960 model is actually toned down in styling from the original 1958 edition yet sales kept sliding each subsequent model year. The interior of this model year is actually fairly conservative by the standards of that era. The Masterpiece finally arrived in 1961 but FoMoCo could have done even more to tone down this car from the original 1958: larger 15 inch wheels, removal of the 4 horizontal trim strips from the front fender, smooth sides with only one long horizontal character line, inward rather than outward slant of the top fender line, unbroken fender peak molding like on the suicide door cars, and completely vertical dual headlights.
