On “My Car Story" we're in the Western Suburbs of Chicago on 5-21-21.
We're looking at a 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertible.
The car's Owner is George Hansen. George shares as a boy, there was a guy in the neighborhood who had an Oldsmobile Starfire and it made such an impression, he hoped one day he could own one.
50 years later, he now has one of his own.

When I was 14 my parents were shopping the 64 Starfire on the showroom floor. It was stunningly beautiful. However they got their best deal on a 1964 Buick Wildcat with the optional 340hp nail head. But the Starfire with its Rocket V8 and the Buick Wildcat and 421 Pontiac Catalina were really America's answer to european Gran Tourismo automobiles. PS. Remember my mother dusting some young guy at a stop light in his TR6 with the Wildcat and ma laughing so much that I felt bad for him.
