1963-1967 Corvette Carpet Install

Hey guys and gals, welcome to my KZbin channel. This time I am installing the carpet in the car. This was a tedious job but it paid off in the end. There are more carpet pieces on a 1963-1964 carpet kit vs a 1965-1967 kit. The same procedure applies. Test, trim, glue, and repeat. I used 3m glue from Lowes and it worked great!
This channel is the home for all your vintage Mid-Year Corvette content. I am restoring a 1963 Corvette Split Window. I will be making weekly videos on the car so please like and subscribe. Let me know what you think about the video. Enjoy!!

Lance Vette I met him at Carlisle a couple years ago and helped him set up his tent for his area. He seemed like a pretty cool guy. That would be awesome to do something with him. His channel size definitely wouldn’t hurt mine!

So when I played this back at 0.5 normal speed to be able to see what you were doing it made it sound as though you may have inhaled too much glue.

On my 65 coupe there is a piece of vinyl material between the bottom of rear window and the top of the rear carpet . with a split window I could not see very well , being black , is there vinyl there ?

Yes there are 4 pieces on a 63. I made a video on installing them too.

Did you paint the bar under your dash that the vin and id are? If so, what did you use?

Mitch do you have a video on putting kick panel in? I am having problems with the ones I put in coming off. Also having problems with rider door alignment.

I’ll have to look. I had a video that may have touched on it. But I don’t have one specifically for the kick panels. I had to play with them to get them to fit.

What company did you use for the carpet?

I got my carpet from al knoch. I picked it up at corvettes at Carlisle. It fits great!
