Hi Mitch, I bought a 63 Split window from America over to Australia .I had a company in Australia Superformance in Queensland ,they wereTo Mock me up a rear end and chassis clip over the Covid period? It turned out to be a very Bad Idea they asked for me to send the car as a measuring refereance needed aa jig so to speak. They were not to touch the car but ?, they cut the whole back floor out pulled body off chassis destroyed the car .The centre of the front guard up through has pregnant stress fracture lines up to the top .Your channel and you're ability has kept my panic attacks somewhat at ease .To look at this starting point you have now , my car was an 8.5 out of 10 .It was really nice.I have to re start Thank you so much for your talent experience advice ,you are really good and you do it without Hoists honestly well done I have been watching for many years Many Regards Craig

My dream car has always been a split window. Plenty of cars I’d like to have, but this is and always has been number one.

Whenever I see a 63' Split Window Corvette, it takes me back to Ketchikan, AK, in the mid 80', and the Red Split Window Corvette I saw parked [apparently for quite some time!] in someone's backyard, I've _always_ wondered what happened to that lonesome beauty! . . .

Hey there Mitch, Ya know, a few years ago I would have said no way that will become a whole C2 again. Now, after all you have done, this one seems pretty straightforward. Ok, let's have at it! Take care, Dan

Looks like a very good start. The roof repair will be new and also a new opportunity for us to learn. Daytona Blue with Red interior hmmm actually I'd like that. New camera is working fine. Get to work, you actually do have a lot. Stay safe.

Look forward to seeing the build. I just finished disassembling the 67 coupe frame two nights ago and am sending it to get blasted. I’m getting Dynamic Corvette wide fenders too front and rear so let me know if you need some factory stuff I take off.

Thanks Mitch! Great vid as usual! Your enthusiasm is amazing and contagious! I stay in a funk most of the time…overwhelmed by my one c3 project! Then a new video comes along and I head for the shop! Thanks! Maybe I can get to C at C and see some of your work firsthand! Stay well!

What a great addition to your garage AND wedding, Mitch! And the "running out of gas" just makes a lifetime story to tell the your kids and grandkids. Kinda like it snowing 10" on our wedding night.....in Texas!!!! .... Had to drive 300 miles back home on frozen roads to get to the airport on time the next day! GREAT video, Mitch! A+++++

I love you passion for Corvettes. I am a mechanical engineer too and starting to think about restoring one too. In Switzerland there are quite heavy restrictions on old cars (safety and environmental restrictions) and modifications to cars. As far as I understand, Corvettes have been produced with a large range of HP. Do you know if they all got the same drive train? Or did Chevrolet build different drive trains adapted to the power of the engine? If I want to perform a power upgrade, I probably would need to proof, that the drive trains are all the same. Also, do you know the approx. weight of the body alone? I am wondering what kind of tools I would need to buy to lift the body of the frame.

Congratulations! Love the Bel-Air. I bought my 56 Bel-Air 4 door when I was 16 (1993) and I still have her. Mine is still 99% factory. I did replace the radiator ( I have the original) and the exhaust manifolds (went with the later horn style)...still using the factory cast iron powerglide

Hey there Mitch, Congrats again on your wedding! That is one sweet chevy! Does it have the "optional" oil filter? I suggest making dern sure the brake lines and wheel cylinders are in good shape, that single circuit master cylinder can make life interesting 😊 Hey, why are you making videos and not off doing that newlywed thing? 😅 Take care, Dan

The one other thing I would do is upgrade the brakes, it is a sweet old car, I have seen too many of them destroyed by a brake pedal that goes straight to the floor at a very inopportune time.

Wow!! I'd kill for that car! My first car back in '66, I was 16 and I got the hand me down '55 chev which my Dad bought in 1956 (Dad always got his cars the next year it was made). It was a plain Bel Air, 235 6 cylinders three in the tree, and yes the bushings were shot. It went from Dad to 2 bro's then to me. By the time I got it, it was on it's last legs (wheels?) but I loved it. Oh yea ,lol,. congrats on your marriage!! Treat her right, be kind to her respect her and wash her every weekend, get regular oil changes and drive safe! And, be good to your wife, lol!
