Great explanaination on these differences. One thing to note is that on the 66/67 since they kick the bottom further forward than the earlier models is that the rods that bolt beetween the lower part of the support and the headlight bucket mounts are shorter - so for anyone that needs all parts, 66-67 cores will need to use shorter rods. And the L shaped brackets that bolt the support to the lower valence panel are different for the same reason .

So my 65 #4880 has the F.I. opening , could it have been a fulie car ? Or, does it have the opening for all small blocks ? I wonder what VIN # did they start making all with the fuel inj. hole ?
