Our parts make any Street Rod, Restomod, Pro Street, Classic or Custom Corvette stand out from the crowd!
Dynamic Corvettes - C1, C2, C3 Corvette Restoration/Repair/Restomod shop in Saginaw. Since 1982 we've been crazy about Corvettes. It's all we work on! We also have a large catalog of custom fiberglass / carbon fiber parts that are DESIGNED, MOLDED, BUILT, and SOLD by only us! We take great pride in our parts, using only top of the line materials from start to finish. Unlike some competitors, we use woven fiberglass strand mats which are laid on the mold and infused with resin by hand. Instead of cheap all-purpose resin, we ONLY use vinyl ester resin which is much stronger.
You don't cut corners, and neither do we. If you're looking for the highest quality custom parts for your Corvette, you'll find them at Dynamic Corvettes

Seems like good channels like this don't get as many likes as other channels. This channel is the professional approach to doing quality repairs. And I have learned a lot.

Thanks for this information,I have a 66 c2 hard top,doing a complete floor and fire wall repair with front end.You showed the correct way to repair a job like this.Love your idea making custom bonding strips.As soon as I back to on this project of mine I'm going to buy a shi÷= load of your bonding epoxy.I understand why you repair method a certain way,from years of trial ending with perfection as if done by G.M putting it back together better.What I see is one is finished with the complete body there never a fear of the body cracking or falling apart down the road.Again Thanks for information, Some day would enjoy Meeting you.Maybe you should have classes like the metal body guys do.

I have a 1966 vette and back in the eighty's i restored it and had to do a lot of panel replacement but i could not get all factory type glass some was smc but all the bonding strips were regular glass and no one could tell me what type bonding adhesive to us so i used smc bonding adhesive but instead of using it as a seam filled i cut up pieces of glass and fiberglass resin to fill the seams rolling it out with a small roller. it all still holding together fine but all the glass in the seams has shrunk and where i did use screws it it has shrunk so it time to redo the car again.

I have some debonding issues on a 81 vette, and i think your product is what i need. How much is it, and how can I get it. This vette was shaken very baddly. Driven up and down a 5 mile dirt road at 50 and 60 mph, both ways. It's got a few debonding issues at the body and inner fender wheels, and cracks at front and back fenders. Any tips you can give, I'll be forever grateful.

How’s the best way to repair a C2s stress crack’s around the nose clip that supports the rotating headlight bezels. Also how’s the best way to tackle cracks on the A-pillars for the same car?

Putting new L88 flares on the front of a historic race car today and not familiar with the new products. Particularly the street smart part of how to avoid problems later. I'll probably never use the old smelly PIA resin again. Thanks.

Could you use a heat gun to speed up the curing of the epoxy?
@frankcarden4709
@frankcarden4709 4 ай бұрын
Within reason, too much heat and it'll bubble and kind of burn or scorch,also a bit of warpage might happen if it gets to hot but not hot enough to scorch, sometimes your just better to wait for it.

A bonding strip in a place the factory did not use it screams damaged and then repaired. It can also be top glassed then back glassed leaving NO SIGNS of repair. Retaining the cars value as it will never crack out and the repair will never be seen. P.S. We went through the same issue putting GM factory Quarters on 1973 cars. My father called GM and they admitted they had changed the body material to get parts out of the molds easier. Those rear quarter panels we learned quickly were unrepairable using standard fiberglass. I am not implying your repair isn't permanent or quality but it is discoverable possibly devaluing the car.

He makes one big very common mistake. Never blow dust off. Always use vacuum. You don't have control of where the debris goes.

Very good and very expensive. So it cost about 80 bucks in material to do these 6 places. And Ann hour of time. That’s $280 dollars for this repair. OUCH!

A little late to comment ...excellent tips Steve ...but ..concerned for your health in this repair you are grinding away without a mask . Do not mean to tell you what to do , knowing that you are aware of it ...that stuff is awful for the lungs.
