1963 Corvair ep1

Mystery electrical issues have been plaguing us for a bit. The car just seems to lose all power for no reason. However, until we tried to take it to a local car show it always seemed to come back after 20-30m. Not this time. I attempt to make it fail at home so we can get to the bottom of the issue.

Is this the car you recently pulled the engine out of and went through it? If so this isn’t important, but I noticed the oil cooler is most likely doing very little as the top cover missing means zero airflow over it. My wife loves her convertible too. Love EM’s.

Yes the same one. Well that is interesting about oil cooler. Not sure I have ever had a top cover. Thank you for the heads up, I think I will call up Mortons in Idaho. He has most of the little random things. mortonsclassiccorvairparts.com/
