@@eldorado5766 I will see what I can find. So far I've just replaced a lot of the floor with 1/2" maple ply, stainless screws and Thompson's watersealed it. And working on stripping paint from the trailer tounge to show there is no Vin so I can get title from California highway patrol... The guy I bought it from had title for the boat but not the trailer. Gotta do tires and lights next so I can get legal. It's a big project, doing it with and for my little one. 😀 The trailer is an original Lonestar Roadmaster though.

FYI, if you paint the outside of the hull, I'd recommend self etching primer. It's a bit more but sticks to aluminum better.

You know i was doing alot of research and whent with just primer and rustolium paint and i will be puting it in salt water to see how it will hold up. I don't know how good it will hold but i will find out.

@@eldorado5766 I understand. I am going with Rustoleum as well... if the self etch primer is too much you can wipe the hull with a mild acid before you prime too. You can get pool acid at Home Depot for like $10 just be careful, wear googles and glove (that stuff burns, ask me how I know lol) It opens up the pores in the aluminum and gives the primer something to grab onto. When I did a 14ft. I used rustoleum but added hardener from Tractor supply - gives it a harder, shinier finish.
