Thanks for the great blast from the past video. I just aquired a 1963 Comet Custom 4-door sedan in Pacific blue. Love it!!!

I had the 4 door sedan in 1983, it was very cool, shiny blue with a white roof and those little fins and distinctive taillights. It was only 20 years then but looked radically different from anything else on the road. Thanks for posting this.

My Dad bought a convertible model with 47000 miles from the original owner. I drove that car quite a bit. Ours had the two speed “Merc O Matic” transmission. Great trunk space!

Interesting that Mercury also had the Meteor, which is about the same size. My Dad had one and I loved it (esp the tail lights) but you don’t see much of them. Sad

Whoah! I gotta 1963 1/2 Comet S-22 Hardtop. Not sedan like the ones in this video. I wonder why they didn't have the S-22 Hardtops in the video and the 260 v8 and 4 speed in it? Mine is factory 260 4 speed car, I guess mine must be rare if they didn't announce it on commercials even back then!!

This is a early 63 film, as you stated, yours is a 63 1/2 The S22 came out the same time as the 63 1/2 Falcon sprint
