1964 Lincoln Continental Convertible trunk hindge disassemble.

My trunk hindge on my 1964 Lincoln Continental Convertible was rusted, painted numerous times. the only way to get it back to brand new was to completely disassemble it. this required grinding off all of the bolts. The problem with that is this hindge required special bolts with 3 different size shoulders. it took about 6 weekends at the machine shop but we finally got it. take a look at how we took it apart.

65's are my second favorite. Main difference between the 65 and 64 is the front fenders and grill. The convertible parts are a bit different too. Beautiful cars.
