I like had one just about like this, but with out the racing stripe and with a light blue interior. I picked it up at the factory 2 days after I got out of the US Army! I traded it in on a '67 Barracuda 383 in May of '67!

OK, nice car, but: gas cap is incorrect; shift knob is incorrect (should be black with no shift pattern on it); door lock knobs are incorrect; cowbell exhaust is missing; engine compartment should be body color; oil breather cap is incorrect (correct reproductions are available); radio antenna is incorrect; inset portion of front valence should be painted black; outside rear view mirror is crunchy. Most all of this could be corrected pretty easily.

@@captcnduit Congratulations. These are very underrated cars. I've owned mine since 1968.

@@herman452 I am ordering the original exhaust this month period can you send me a pic of your gear shift knob? My brother had one in 1965 and I could have sworn from memory it had the h pattern on it.

@@captcnduit Not sure how I can send a pic to you, but about halfway down this page a picture of a 65 Dart shifter, which is the same as 65 Barracuda: www.allpar.com/cars/dodge/dart-buyers-guide.html 64-5 Barracudas and Darts with 4 speeds had a chrome plate on the floor with the shift pattern, so there was no need to replicate the pattern on the shift ball. 66 Barracudas and Darts did not have that plate and (as I remember) their 4-speed shift knobs did display the shift pattern. Understand that there are some who will dispute this because they have a different knob that they believe is original, but they are and were always easy to replace. Now, the correct knob might be hard to find; I don't think they are being reproduced. And they are fine thread (I think; maybe I should check) whereas many aftermarket balls are coarse thread.
