That is really sweet! There aren't very many '65 Plymouth Furys in that condition. The gauges brought it into the 21st century and it's still maintaining some of its originality. Nice ride! Love the looks and sound of that engine. This was from a time when cars had style and class. The '65 Fury brought Plymouth back into the full-size race with the Chevy Impala and Ford Galaxie. The '65 lineup consisted of the Valiant/Barracuda, the Belvedere/Satellite, and Fury. A Sport Fury convertible was pace car at the '65 Indy 500. The basic design lasted until '68, after which time a new, much larger Fury appeared. The big Fury continued (as the Gran Fury) until '77, when it was dropped after being trounced by that year's new downsized big cars from GM. Except for the 1980-81 Gran Fury, Plymouth never competed model for model with Chevy and Ford. It sold mostly small cars like the Horizon and the Reliant in the '80s. The Plymouth brand disappeared in 2001.

I inherited a '65 sport fury, a 4 speed with the 383, that my dad bought brand new. it's hard for me to imagine a single person buying a new car and keeping it for 46 years (he passed in 2011}. How often does this happen?
