1966 C10 TRUCK Build Full Weather-strip Install (Vent Window Rebuild)

Installing some fresh new weather-stripping into your classic car or truck might be one of the cheapest quick wins you can have in a restoration!
This week we rebuild the vent windows in this 1966 C10, we replace the door seals and all other side window weather-stripping! It is time to make this‪@va197653‬ unit not have to work so hard!

I love the West Coast mirrors, but I'd only want them for towing & I don't know of any that don't leave bolt holes when they aren't on the truck...

They do sell the rivets for that thin rubber and also a standoff rivet for the wing window swivel

@@DesertRatFabrication I'll have to go back and look at where we bought it but it was a Precision Parts kit. I believe they sell them at multiple different suppliers.

I believe they were 1/4". That's something I should have mentioned at the time 😂

I just di my 64 and have issues with closing the doors - any ideas?

When we put the new strips in it made the doors SUPER tight and hard to close. One thing that helped was getting them shut and leaving them shut for a long while. It seemed to help mold the seals to the door.

I have that same issue on my 68 C10 ! New door rubbers 5 years ago & there still hard to shut ! They never give up I guess !
