1966 Delta 88 Walk Around

This is my first video using my Go Pro. Still figuring out all the HD stuff.
This is my 1966 Delta 88 Celebrity Sedan in Ocean Mist with factory 425 Rocket V8 making 360 hp and 470 lb ft of torque. It's a fairly optioned out car and is all original, minus an aftermarket air conditioning unit installed in the 1970s. One of my favorite cars and engines built by Oldsmobile, and a very exciting future project.

What's the difference between a Delta 88 and a jetstar 88? I'm thinking about buying a Jetstar from my boss here soon

Jet star was the economy level olds. Delta was the nicer trim level. Jet star also came with a two barrel low compression 425 standard, similar to the delta which had a 4 barrel I think, but was still low compression.

Good. The 425 is the better engine. Forged crank from factory. Better bore to stroke ratio. Better for performance. Plus the original engine will add value.

I just inherited one myself/ and yes that 425 is a monster

It’s actually my second largest engine. I’ve got a 455 Olds as well. 425 is definitely a better motor. Better bore to stroke ratio. All of them came with forged cranks.
