On "My Car Story" we're in Saratoga Springs NY on 4-26-23.
We're looking at a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette in Elkhart Blue Metallic Paint. The car is equipped with a 327 CI Fuel Injected V8 engine, with a 4 Speed transmission.
The car's Owner is Dave DePaulo. Dave’s had this car since 2008. Dave shares he is a Chevy Guy and always wanted a C2 Corvette. When this one became available, he picked this one up for his collection.
The Saratoga Automotive Museum has cars, educational events on cars, and 120 events a year!

1967 327 corvette's didn't have a a 427 hood on it, (Real nice Corvette) Most people back it my days put the 427 hood on there 327 vette, They look nice, But when I was young I could tell by the sound of 427 big block and they didn't sound anything alike. Thank you Lou, Keep them coming.

I think the color is Azure Aqua. A lot of gm cars were in this color from Impalas to Chevy II Novas. My favourite all time color!

1967 Chevrolet Corvette. The Corvette was introduced back in 1953 at a car show back in New York, receiving positive reception along with a price tag of $3,500 ($34,000 in today's dollars). However, when the car was released in 1954, it was actually met with mixed reception. The most powerful engine in the 1953 Corvette when it released was the 5.4 Litre (327 Cubic Inch) Chevrolet Small-Block V8 along with the 4.3 Litre (265 Cubic Inch) Small-Block V8 and 4.6 Litre (283 Cubic Inch) Small-Block V8. For 1956-1957, the grille was changed to have a spiky pattern and added a 4-speed manual. For 1958-1962, Chevrolet would redesign the front end to have Quad-Headlights, bigger engines, redesigned interiors/paint jobs, and a lot more. The second-generation Corvette from 1962-1967 introduced a drastically new design, such as a coke-bottle style, a sloped front end, hide-away headlights, quad taillights at the back, sloped rear windows, and even more engine options. This generation of the Chevrolet Corvette (Corvette C2) would introduce the "Stingray" trim, which featured upgraded suspension, brakes, a new interior, and extremely powerful engines. In fact, this Corvette also introduced the Chevrolet Big Block engines, especially the Big-Block 427 SS, codenamed L61, L88, and more. They also costed around $3800 to $4200 dollars ($38,000 to $41,000 in today's dollars).

This is a pretty Cool Car but,,, We are NOT looking at a Fuel Injected Vette! FI cars stopped in 65 BUT, this is a real Elkhart Blue W/Black Vinyl built in St.Louis. The 1967 cars didn't have KO Wheels, 66 was the last year for knock off's it also has the wrong hood, wrong shifter, it's also missing ignition shielding, and the 1966-67 L-79 350hp 327ci motor had an Aluminum Winters 4brl Intake Manifold part # 3890490 W/Holley Carb part# 3906631 with a 2" Exhaust that painted intake looks to be cast iron from a period correct engine from the looks of the oil filler but the motor could be anything, if it is original it could be the 300hp engine W/that intake! or from the looks of all the mixed up parts,,, it's probably a 350 and the side pipes could be orig But all & all it's a cool car to bomb around in I'd keep it! DON'T sell it! even for what it is it will be worth a pretty penny some day as there aint that many of em around anymore! I'd park it! Try & Hook up with the NCRS in your area they have lot's of info, Parts & Meet-up's! Have Fun!

Stinger hood on a 1967 with a small block? What is the deal with that Lou? I have read that at the end of the run of C2 in 1967 that Chevrolet ran out of hoods and the factory did put Stinger Big Block hoods on small block cars. I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE and Chevrolet has no records of doing this. Beautiful car --- but if I put all that money into it I would want it original. Wrong hood would keep me up at night.
