This vintage of Ferraris always remind me of my old Fiat 124 Spider because of the Fiat parts that Ferrari used. Handbrake levers, window cranks, switches etc. The glove compartment door on this car looks like it could have been swapped straight across. The 124 gave you 1/3 of the experience of the Ferraris of its day.

Thanks for letting us tag along too… this is glorious, no other car sounds (or looks) better. This is why no-one needs more than 300bhp, combined with that luscious manual ‘box. Who wants a Lamborghini which has the auto-box and drones as it changes gear, is 700bhp really necessary to blast from traffic light to traffic light - boy racers only need apply! Cheers. 👍❤️😎✅

The 330GTC and 330GT 2+2 have always been great cars underappreciated for many years due to the presence of the 275 and 365 series. This was Ferrari's response to the Lamborghini 350GT and 400GT.
@arts.401411 ай бұрын
Shhhh... Don't give away the secret... :^) Some torque unlike a 250 but still winds up very nicely.
@nigelha369911 ай бұрын
perhaps, but they to my eye, dont have the looks of a 275 or 365GTB4.
@arts.401411 ай бұрын
Viewed from photos, yes; in person, you'd be surprised. From the driver's seat, it's a pretty darn similar experience. The GTC suspension is arguably better that the 275. The 2+2 suspension is the last use of the solid rear axle dinosaurs - which sounds awful until you try a properly sorted one - its surprisingly good! Then you realize its basically the same suspension as the 250 GTO. Yes, its a little heavier, a little bigger and not as well balanced but that's hard to tell below eight tenths. These cars are damn good because they are so direct - you are part of the machine. From the driver's seat its a very similar experience for a tenth of the price. Rewatch the video and watch that tach, especially at idle - it's driven by a directly coupled springy cable, there aren't any computers smoothing things out to make it easy to read. In my opinion, 9/10ths the experience for 1/10th the cost of a 275. To me, the 330 (either GTC or 2+2) is more enjoyable to drive than any 365. That said, as long as the majority share your view, the opportunity will remain.@@nigelha3699

I have chased one of these around a racetrack on several occasions in my GTV6. Id be all over it around the back of the track and then id just see the swirls of smoke out of the exhaust pipes as it stretched its legs down the straight only for me to catch it again under brakes by turn 2. Wonderful to watch and i was in no hurry to go past

Thanks. I've owned various Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, and Lancia models over the years and once aspired to purchase a 330 GTV. Of course, they became so expensive, your vids are about as close to owning a Ferrari 330 GTC as I'll ever get. The classic era of Italian cars have that certain something that transcends mere automobiles into something akin to the spiritual.

There used to be a guy I'd see driving a silver one of these in the summer all the time. I even ran into him at a gas station in Salem, MA. I still think the guy is a hero. In the '90s, there also used to be a guy driving a Bugatti Type 55 (yes, it was real-he owned a Bugatti restoration shop). When I was a kid in the '80s, odd ball cars were in average driveways all around, but now I almost never see anything interesting on the roads (modern exotics don't count).

The fact that’s it’s sporty and fast but smooth stable and understressed revving out makes it the perfect car but you’re not missing out on anything at the same time like it’s the perfect dose of everything!
