In this video series we diagnose a fuel supply problem on a 1967 Mustang. This problem was caused by a kinked and decayed rubber hose. The bad hose went from the gas tank to the fuel line at the rear of the vehicle. We use compressed air to pressurize the tank and prime the fuel pump.

Great video, gave me a new direction to look in with a fuel delivery problem in a 67 Coronet with Holley Red Electric. My fuel flow looked like the 2nd video you showed, not the 3rd... Update: Thanks to these videos the Coronet is running!

Very informative for the 67, 289 I have too. I just freaked out for 3 days, replaced the fuel filter and rebuilt the stock Carter 2100 I had on it. Still started only after being floored and then cut off after only a few minutes and for certain every time it was put in gear. I will try the fuel pump next and also these fuel line replacements next.

Great video! Quick question, does the gas cap being non vented have a factor in pressurizing tank? I have a 68 impala and have changed rubber lines/fuel pump and removed/cleaned tank out and still not getting gas to carb. My last resort is to try to pressurize tank by using an electric tire inflator. U think that will work?

Very good video. I'm experiencing a problem with my car. When it's completely cold, it starts up normaly and runs great, but after about 30 minutes driving the engine shuts off. I checked the engine and there's no fuel in the carb. When the engine cools down again I can start the engine e go. Any tip?

Try googling Vapor lock, the fuel is boiling when the engine is hot.

Check that the float is working and properly adjusted. I had same problem car stalling at lights after a good long run.

Great videos but still cant figure mine out. I have a 79 f150 and starts fine with about 7-8 fuel psi. Run it around the block, get back and open the hood and I can see the fuel go down in the filter until the engine shuts off. I replaced the tank, sending unit, all fuel lines, 2 mechanical pumps and even tried a electric pump and rebuilt the summit racing 4brl carb. I even tried running it without the gas cap. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a 75 F150. I think you are experiencing vapor lock. The fuel is getting to hot in the carb it, causing the problems you are having. Google vapor lock and you should find alot of help on fixing it.

Thanks for the help. That was the problem. I insulated the fuel lines and pump. problem solved

you think this is the same issue with my 85 grand marquis? wont start like the second video (pt2) it has been sitting for awhile thinking about taking it to ford shop

Have a 72 Chevy pickup put a new fuel pump not getting any fuel to the carburetor
