The Ventura was first introduced for 1960 as a new higher priced example of the Pontiac's standard full size B-Body model which was shared with the Catalina. This model began with great options like the four-door vista sedan and the two-door hardtop and had a very unique exterior including the deluxe wheel covers, sport steering wheel and even a tri-tone seats. The Ventura went on to become its own series in 1966 through 1969 but was then returned to a custom trim option for the Catalina in 1970.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this highly original example of the 1967 Pontiac Catalina Ventura for your consideration. This fine riding, fine looking ride comes with a lot of great upgrades from the factory, plenty of work completed to keep it in good running order and has even been professionally evaluated to ensure accuracy and integrity of this listing. The exterior shows well with a factory color still on it, the Rally II wheels look in great condition to really set off the overall appearance and hosts a great list of factory upgrades such as power steering, power brakes, air conditioning which should only need a recharge, push button radio with power antenna and 8-track player. The condition shows the care given to this vehicle, the multiple appraisals ensure the accuracy and not enough can be said for the nostalgia both outside and in. Call or email us for any questions you may have on this great example of a rare model!

A 1967 Catalina, Burgundy with black interior and a black vinyl top; the speedometer traveled all the way from left to right, I had my best friends beside me. This was some years ago; I'm so glad GOD let us live.

This is what happens when prosperity, pride and capitalism are all at their best - a solid company allows enterprising divisions to build great cars the public & engineers appreciate. I'm a Ford and Mopar guy, but still proud that GM encouraged & supported Pontiac and Olds to develop such beautifully-styled, capable & fine automobiles. To me, Pontiac and Olds always represented the best of GM, whereas Chevy was cheap and under-engineered by almost any comparison. Pontiac was creative and solid in their performance initiatives, and Olds was always called, 'the experimental car', as my grandfather said, because new technology was usually introduced in that division ( first automatic transmission; V-8 pioneers; first front-wheel drive in practical mass-production; first high-mounted brake lights for safety; first attempt at diesel mass-production; first dent-proof plastic body panels [ I think....]..) As I said, even a Ford guy like me admired Olds' engineering & market initiatives. If I ever fill-out my 'bucket list', I'd be proud of a stable of garage-kept Fords, Mercurys Edsels & Mopars, but also a '66 or '67 Pontiac full-size station wagon based on this sedans styling, loaded with power windows, etc, asleep in my garage until she wants to glide around town for a weekend drive...... Thanks so much once again for posting, friend.

This affordable Engineering Marvel was built over 50 years ago. Only American Auto Manufacturers built affordable vehicles that offered what ever the customer wanted. If you desired power, performance, sport handling, economy, luxury it was all available except for safety at times was questionable.

Wouldn't be a good idea for GM to re-make this magnificent models ? Not a bad ugly modernized (and boring) version but to manufacture something almost identical perhaps the dashboard and interiors could be substantially improved with modern materials etc Would it work ? I would want one if looing really like this classics

This is a beautiful car, but it seems like in 1966 - 1970, the GTO got most of the attention. Turn back the clock and I'll buy one just like this one. Except for the 8 track.

Does somebody know the difference between this car, the 2+2 and the Boneville?. They are all the same year, shape and engine.
@schkeeperglenn
@schkeeperglenn 7 жыл бұрын
Catalina ,Ventura and 2+2 were all on a shorter wheelbase than the Bonneville . The Ventura was mostly a trim package while the 2+2 was the performance oriented one of the bunch ,however all the performance options were available on all of them ,as witnessed by this Ventura. When I was growing up ,a neighbor had a 68 Bonneville convertible with the 428 and 4 speed all factory original.

@@schkeeperglenn Thanks Glenn. I always thought the Catalina and Ventura were the same wheel base as the Bonneville, less optioned though. Beautiful cars!
@shwt121
@shwt121 5 жыл бұрын
Well, the Ventura and Catalina did share the same wheelbase; as Bonneville was the longest of the group...They all had the option of the 428 c.i. HO engine which had approx. 375 HP with plenty of torque to go around. I believe the OEM tranny was the hydra-matic THM400 with the option of a Borg-Warner 4spd manual with the 428 HO engine. My first car was a '68 Bonneville with the 428c.i. HO ( my mechanic stated that mine had roughly 375 hp)....I, also had the THM400 automatic tranny, and it being my first car- I was never reminded to do an engine oil chk.....so, basically, with 89,000.0 miles on THE ALREADY oil burning engine, didnt take long BEFORE THIS HO engine ' threw out a piston rod'.....live and learn !!!!!
