All Hail Michael! Purveyor of knowledge and Saver of transoms everywhere. There should be a special place for people who drill holes in transoms below the water line. Especially when they do it more than once and think that a small squirt of 4200 or 5200 will seal the holes.

This spring for my new 3-in-1 transducer. I used a SEAWORTHY INNOVATIONS Stern Pad Jumbo White - Screwless Transducer/Acc. Mounting Kit (for Large 3D Scan Transducers) - Made in The USA with Genuine 3M VHB Adhesive Armed with Michael's information or these fancy pads, there is absolutely no reason to drill into a transom other than to mount an engine or stern dirve.

I like what you did with the starboard on gluing it to the back of boat, i guess if you have multiple transducers you could make the smaller to fit each transducer Thanks, Tim

Mike I glue (epoxy) my transducer to the inside of the hull. Works great if you do not have a cored bottom. I have done this on fiberglass as well as aluminum boats. One significant benefit is holes,p,us it is protected and I get no cavitation.

you're one fart smucker!! i'm thinkin how i can make a pole setup to hook to the teansom so its all removeable and portable. used those sprink clamp things for hanging up broom handles on the row boat works great. bit i dont wanna do that on my good boat. that way i can turn ir so side scan can do front to back too. poormans livescope.
