@Voltar Starman Are you talking about Military World Games ? Then sorry to break it to you there is a sharp distinction between sports and military. We are talking about the latter here.
@intellectualgravy97964 жыл бұрын
@Voltar Starman I disagree, if you look throughout India's history you will see history of her son's valor and sacrifice read : Maratha Empire, Rajputana's, Sikh Empire to name a few. A plethora of factors contributed to why British were able to rule India for 200 years first there was no organisation and many Indian empires found it difficult to handle such a big empire, case in point : Maratha Empire. There valor and sacrifice cannot be matched but once they were at their peak they found it extremely difficult to manage that territory which ultimately resulted in their fall. Now, you cannot call this "No fighting spirit" it was more of a mismanagment issue and again there is sharp distinction between the two. British on the other hand was extremely good at managing rather then fighting. They also saw an opportunity with the extremely diverse country such as India which had changing religions, dialect and languages every few kilometers. Dividing Hindu and Muslims was some of the most notorious deed Britishers did of which India and her countrymen still pay the price of this divide and they amassed wealth from this divide while Indians paid with their blood. I would also like to bring in the point that India post her Independence has never lost a war except one some of which were extremely difficult to win, case in point : 1999, Kargil War. This war mind you employed strategies of deception, assault like no other in Modern Warfare, this war is now taught as a case study in War Schools across the globe.

It was not forgotten history. It was a glory when we sent 300 body bags to China. China by that time became a paper tiger only. Say for an instance in 1979 the best of Chinese division 'Hun" division was sent to Vietnam through 'Friendship' pass to 'teach' Viets some lessons. Chinese forces crossed Lao Cai and came to Sapa. That's all. As regular Vietnam forces were engaged in Cambodia campaign, Chinese were beaten back by Vietnam militias (like our BSF, CRPF etc.) and artillery forces manned by girls. This was their best division and strike corp that could not stand before a militia. In south Sudan Chinese infantry as UN peace keeping force were surrounded by rebels. It was the Indian army who rescued them as Chinese to their chagrin were behaving like deaf and dumb. The strength and power of Chinese army is much hyped. The very recent Doklam incidence is an example. Every Indian street urchin knows this.

Not many people know but India is one of the few countries in the world that has invaded and land grabbed every single of its neighbors since WWII. India was created under the auspices of the British in 1947 and the leaders of the new country was so enamored by the British empire thing that it continues the bullying and land grabbing of the expansionist Raj right after the British has left without missing a beat. To this day India still sees itself as the imperial power in the block and behave that way to its smaller neighbors. Yep I understand that. Many authors do that. Buy my book for more insight. But the video editing here is the issue. Should have started with the facts then riffed on why it was a watershed moment. Most people don't even know what the term means so beginning with that will lose audience.

Finally someone wrote about this 1967 war which proved the Chinese what Indian Army is capable of when you fight one on one even in 2:1 ration and got it’s lost pride in 1962 when they fought in an 8:2 ratio with the Chinese army. I asked many of my friends “when did India and China fought against each other and what was the result?” . Sadly none knew about 1967 and all said 1962 and we lost. I asked them to find out how and when Sikkim became part of India. What a shame all the left leaning literates and writers never wrote about this. Thank you Sir ji.

India suddenly met its new neighbour (China) in 1962 after China brutally invaded India’s long time neighbour Tibet in 1959. The fact is that India never had to protect its Himalayan border before 1962 as there were only a few border patrol between India-Tibet border from Ladakh to Arunachal. However India turn its blind eye on situation developing in Tibet and paid its price and is still paying heavy price. May be still singing Hindi- China Bhai Bhai and India had to learn the lesson in hard way; defeating from China.

In 1971 the only reason why China did not interfere was that it did not want war with Russia. It was already helping Vietnam in the war with US. There is no point in trying to cover up Nehru's childish mishandling of China by saying that we won over China in 1967.

So tell me why did the Russians help india in 1971.. did they simply help india for no reason.. ? Surely there must be some reason and someone's role behind it,, guess, who can it be?.. your mother or your father? Or the rss?
@TheBandana19694 жыл бұрын
@@rollyroll9863 Firstly, this is a political discussion only, so please do not bring in personal issues. I can be abusive too, and you will not like the extent to which I will go. So, I am ignoring your remarks on my father and mother. The Russians helped India in 1971 because India was their one of the few doors to get US Dollars through legitimate means. Remember, In the days of Soviet Russia, the Rouble was virtually scrap paper to the West. Even though the Soviets touted Communism as a perfect economic system, they did require to get at least some things from the west. Secondly, with Pakistan sitting solidly with the US, and President Nixon even insulting PM Indira Gandhi personally the Soviets saw this as a good opportunity to give US a bloody nose indirectly. Thirdly, this was a good opportunity to make India tilt further to the Soviet Union from its foreign policy of non alignment. Soviets could trade with India, especially defence supplies and also use defence cooperation against the western bloc. India understood this well and even formalized a defence pact with the Soviets. This was considered a brain child of PV Narasimha Rao, who was Foreign Minister then. And actually all this worked out quite well.
