our election commission and the rest of national departments are highly politicised. I am not sure of the authenticity of your knowledge regarding pakistan but I as living here, am a witness that PTI had splendid election turnout in 2013 as well but such a high scale rigging brought a thief, Nawaz, in power. Yes the military has an impact but its exaggerated as well. Nawaz is a businessman (flop one) and he didnt pass even the FATA merger bill in his whole tenure inspite of pressure from the military which is a no-go area and a safehouse for anti-state elements. There are issues on both side of the border like Baluchistan insurgency by RAW and Kalbushan Yadav arrested in Pakistan and his activities here. So dear no one has clean hands, both India and Pakistan. But yes, this saga should end for the larger good.
