I think the tabs might be for different type of engine plates. That was a lot of work to get those air bags to fit.

I have those tabs on the crossmember of both subframes I’ve got. I suspect they might have been for a 6 cylinder engine? Neither subframe is from my ‘67 Camaro, so I can’t verify heritage of either one. Nice video though, thanks!!!

The bump stops on this subframe are in front of the spring pocket. On the original '68 subframe they are behind the spring pocket. I found these forum threads leading me to believe this subframe is from a '73 Nova. It's basically the same and should work just fine.
