The ID19, with all of these features, was introduced in 1955!! Other features are a hemi head, plastic roof panel, aerodynamic full length, belly pan, inboard front disc brakes, and, on the European cars, the inner headlights turn with the front wheels! There is so much more!! Great job, Mike!!!!! Thanks for sharing this unique car with us!

I'm viewing from New Zealand. This is a very nice Citroen DS. Good condition too. I would say it's in a lemon color. We didn't have many sold on our car market . They were brought here in limited numbers. Good video.

Thanks, good questions & answers! A late model 19 DS with the Pallas trim and a lever brake pedal, must special Special, not a D-Spedial. There are wires going into the doors, what's electric, heated mirrors? Beautiful interior, you sgoulda tried it out, you woulda been very impressed, 3centimeter foam carpets.

This is not a 68! This dashboard was introduced in 1970! And its not even a DS! It has not the mushroom brake pedal, so it is really an ID! Or rather a D Special.

They mixed up whatever they wanted to whenever they wanted to, possibly to do with Eastern Europe only.

You are correct. All of the specifications are generally similar worldwide and accross model years. It is a 1972 onwards model year as that dash/steering wheel combinationn not used before then and not a DS but an ID since manual transmission and normal brake pedal. Someone has given it the Pallas trim treatment from another car and not taken the 'Special' badge off. It is quite common practice do do this upscaling trim levels.

On this car, with manuel gearbox, the hydraulics doesn´t drive the clutch. It´s all mechanic.
