I had one a a kid, and about 20 years ago found another one, in blue, that was complete in great shape. Now…..in storage, haven’t touched it. Yipes.

Very nice recap of the project. Do you recall the model of "Ricks regulator" that you used? And why did you go that route? Trying to make a decision.

I'm using model number 10-135H. I went with that one because I had been running a similar Rick's unit on my CB350G. The wiring also didn't require and modifications to either the unit or the bike so that was a plus. It's a little on the pricey side but after a few years of use it's still working great. Thanks for watching!

Hi mr. sams can i use conntact point of cb160 to cb77?
@michaelsams4503 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. That part numbers are different. The CB160 has a 360 degree crank and only uses a single contact breaker point, the CB77 has a 180 degree crank and uses a pair of breaker points. There are quite a few sellers on eBay offering point sets for both of those bikes, just double check the part number before ordering.

Do you work on bikes for other people? I notice you’re in pa and might not be to far from me.

I wish I had the time. To be honest I haven't had the opportunity to get a single bike out on the road this season.
