I rode one of these from Phoenix Arizona to Sacramento California in February 1979. Best motorcycle trip of my life. Speed limit was 55 at that time, it was a great trip.

This brings back memories of my first bike. This model, I got it from my brother and learn to ride in hay field over summer when I was 10

Honda's consistency in its chrome, aluminium and plastics parts is a testament to the legendary quality of these vintage bikes. Beautiful bike!

Thanks I am doing the same bike but in red with white waiting on the frame to be powder coated . The last restoration was done with spray bombs and the black paint was flaking off so i'm going to try to copy your lead. You made this bike show room quality good work there.

That luggage rack makes the raised taillight blend in, much better look in my opinion.

I looked at a collection of CL's this summer. A man had a couple really nice 450's and a rough 350 that was stripped down for the dirt. I would really like a 350. 👍🙂

The carb diaphragms on them did not last long. They'd develop little tears right over the brass inserts for air / fuel balancing if I recall.

Beautiful! May I ask what part of the country are you from?

Hey Randy, Thanks for watching. I live in New Mexico and I believe this bike was in Colorado before that.

I've watched all 4 videos about 6 times. I had one just like it when I was 16. You are a true professional. I've been looking for one but seems they are hard to find. Just wondering....how long did it really take you from start to finish? Thanks again for posting it and letting us watch. Randy

@@randymerrill7678 Thanks Randy, I did this job in about 3 months working pretty much full time on it.

Where were you able to source the side covers and badges? Great series by the way! Enjoyed watching.
@DickShaw2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The side covers were the original ones that were on the bike. I found emblems on eBay. If you search eBay you will find plenty of covers and emblems for sale. Also, if you search the web you'll find many vintage Honda parts suppliers that will have them.

You still got that luggage rack? I’ve been looking for one like the one on there for my CL350.

Hi Travis, I do still have it but do not want to part with it at this time. Thanks for watching the video.
