Wow! Holy wow! This guy gets as much out of that car without over doing it and damaging that engine and driveline as anyone could AND you can tell he appreciates what it has to give him. The car had fun, he had a ball and I loved it. Thanks for sharing...

You are too kind. But thank you all the same.

Fascinating to watch all of the VBox data and the second working end view. I like your workout much better than my boring elliptical routine to get my heart rate up into the 140s.

I always hated having to shift to 4th, lose all torque for 2k revs. Nice drive Stefan!

This gearbox is better than the stock setup. It has a close ratio gear set and the 5.83:1 ring and pinion. The apparent weakness in 4th is due to the extreme incline (average of around 11.5%)

I wonder if JC Whitney has a short shift kit for those? ;)

Is that a flying start? Looks like the timer is past the flagman. Do you have a close ratio box or at least taller 3rd? Or did you just run out of flour? ;-) Still fun to watch! Lester

Yes, the start is typical of hillclimbs and autocrosses with electronic timing. You don't need to leave on the drop of the flag (though it is fun to do so and looks exciting) because the timer doesn't start until you break the beam. The video doesn't let you see how STEEP it is. That is a Special-2 close ratio gearset with a SS&R 6/35 (5.83:1) R&P! Average gradient is around 11% with several straight sections exceeding 15% and the hairpins all steeper still.
