That was the case in 1966, yes. However, not all 1966 Shelby Hertz were black and gold. There were a few red and gold, white and gold, and even a couple blue and gold. In 1968, the "H" designation was not on the cars, and there were fewer of them than in 1966.

WRONG. Shelby GT350H Mustangs were 1966 only. All had 289 "K" code engines. NO 1968 Shelby GT350H cars from Shelby factory or from Ford.

I had a highly successful classic/vintage vehicles restoration business for 26+ years. I've lost count of how man fake Shelby Mustangs I've come across over many years. Shelby did NOT make any Hertz cars in 1968, period. 1966 ONLY !

Renters were burning up the clutches and all the other '66 GT350H cars were A/T. Under this car's hood, where's the "Monte Carlo" bar? Car should not be a 4 speed manual transmission either.

Sergeant, I am SO envious of you. I wish I knew as much about Mustangs/Shelbys as you. I am pretty good at reading people. I can tell by your overbearing confidence that you're obviously a genius.
