I’m crying , my dad had the exact same car, color and all. We kids nick named it the brown boat. I was in high school back in the 80’s, he taught me how to drive in that big ole car, and my mom car a Ford LTD it was green, we called that one the Green Hornet lol. They were old cars but he took excellent care of his cars, he even taught me how to change a flat on those cars. We did lots of traveling in that Buick, it fit a ton of kids in the back seat. They were sooo roomy and comfortable, like you were driving a cloud. I was too embarrassed to drive it to school but wished He and the brown boat was still here.

Beautiful Buick. The late 50s thru 70 was the greatest era for GM, Ford and Chrysler RIP true American autos.

My father had this car in the late 80's. Loved it. And boy did it have "balls". Even the heavy boats of that era flew on the road!

The most impeccably styled Buick of that era.

I've always liked how small the passenger compartment is in relation to the body on these models. They're all trunk and hood which is a very stylish look.

Yeah, but this was my first car and I could still fit half the neighborhood kids in it...It kind-of became my job!

I like the lighters on each side of the front seat. 2 lighters! Everybody smoke in the 70's. When you had an Electra, was almost the same as having a Cadillac.

Buick should have kept that sculpted masterpiece of a front end for at least a few more years.

1970 models are better-looking, in my opinion, anyway. (Albeit, I can't imagine anyone ever actually preferring a 1969 to a 1970, but that's just me.)
@alanblanes28763 жыл бұрын
The 1970 is a disappointing comedown from the 1969.@@thisbandreallystix
@thisbandreallystix3 жыл бұрын
@@alanblanes2876 While you are perfectly entitled to your opinion, my own is that the 1970 LOOKS better. Also, though I greatly prefer the appearance of the 1970, I also like and wouldn't mind having the 1969 as well, so you mustn't think that I hate it, for I don't.
@alanblanes28763 жыл бұрын
@@thisbandreallystix Thanks for the comment, but I can't see what you think about the 1970 has some greater appeal than the exquisite 1969.
