It will look so good on European roads. The ultimate open top Land Yacht. 70 was the pinnacle year for the Electra. The last convertible, the first and last of 455 370hp high compression engine before the malaise era hit it hard. Can't wait to cruise along the Swiss lakes, down to Italy and the South of France with the top down, wife and dog on the front bench seat, listening to that big block rumble and enjoying life.😎

It is my opinion that the 70 Buicks were the best Buicks power wise.They didn't have all that power robbing emission controls. I had a 70 Wildcat and it was a great car in every way.I know that a Deuce and 1/4 would also be awesome. My favorite Buicks were Wildcats,Deuce 1/4s,and Rivieras. I owned 3 Wildcats, 2 Deuce 1/4s,and 2 Rivieras, and they were all great cars.

The engine in this is a sleeping monster. Super quiet idle and It has a very, very long rear end and still manages to lift its nose when you step on it on the highway. I upgraded it to a dual exhaust (was an option) and that gave it an extra kick on top of it. Only in 1970. The 71+ still had nice torque, but they run out of breath in the upper rpms. Had to be this '70 for me.

I grew up with large GM cars and a couple Buicks my father had. Ice cold air literally. My father had aLeSabre but always admired the “four hole “ Buicks. You just drive them, I don’t recall anything going wrong with them.
