Yeah, well with certain cars its no good chasing elec problems around the car. You just have to rip out the whole harness and all the components. But THEN you have to replace them with stuff engineered for situations where things Can't go wrong. Like mil spec or severe use Export or off road racing parts etc. Stuff designed where failure is unacceptable or will result in legal action. THEN you get stuff which is SO over specified that the probability of problems is on the "forget about it" level. GM sub systems are pretty solid. Fords and Mopars have years where there are Far more headaches...

That’s the car I learned to drive in when I was 14 years of age back in 1973. My dad had one of these back then (ours was green) and I remember the first time I ever drove a car with me by myself in the driver’s seat (dad in the passenger seat). It was a little-travelled Arkansas highway, a pristine ‘69 Buick Electra 225, and a beautiful Arkansas evening just after supper when dad took me out in the country near our home as the sun was getting low in the sky. I was the solo pilot of that beautiful classic land yacht for 5 or 6 miles! What a memory-what a car! Thanks for sharing this with us Dennis!

My favorite of them all: the 1969 Buick Electra! To me the late 60's and early 70's is when American car design reached maturity. I'm not too much into sporty cars because I prefer comfort and elegance. So, I love the hard top land yachts and fuselage styles because they are large, as a quintessential American automobile should be! Thanks for sharing!

@@onlyoneamong300 , because most Québecers didn't earn enough money to afford a car like that. Also, winters are quite harsh, and cars didn't last as long in those days due to heavy salting of roads and poor corrosion protection.

The ´64 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 is a so beautyful car, Jhonny D has a great taste! ;) Especially the Wheels on this great car fits PERFECT. I think THAT´s TASTE! Not these modern wheels with tiny height of rubber on big rims.. That´s something for present cars and then also not too extreme. And on 50-70s cars i think a classic custom wheel option is even the so much better choice than modern low profile tires on big rims. At this Olds you can see how nice a classic custom wheel setup WORKS!
