Thats how we drove them back in the day...no fake ass lame Brake Stand Burnouts like kids think looks cool today. My current car is a 17' SS Camaro with a 6spd manual, so on occaission I will still drive like that, but since I don't live in the sticks its not something I can do everyday.

A lot cars back then didn't have stereo, only AM radio. And most cars then didn't have A/C unless you driving a luxury or personal luxury car.

Yeh...when the 69' Chevelles came out it was one of my favorite cars. For 69' It was the Chevelle or Mustang Mach1. Ironically the first car I actually bought right out of HS was a 69' Ply Road Runner with a 383 in 1975. My actual first car was a hand me down 65' Barracuda. What ver. 396 is that one? As they came with 325, 350 or 375hp.

I think he said it's an L78 which would be the 375 hp motor but he also said it was bored 40 over which would make it a 427, I find that hard to believe though because the piston walls might be too thin...

Whats the top end on that car?

The 69 Chevelles were about 3750 3850lbs....where getting 2700lbs from? The Corvette wasn't that light with a fiberglass body.
