My first vette was a 69 big block 427-390 hp 4 speed when I was 22 years old....what fun! Now 6 vettes later I'm restomoding my 1981 with fuel injection, serpentine belt system, borgeson steering, aluminum heads, headers and side pipes, complete brake upgrade and more....You cannot go wrong with any of the C3 especially an original find like yours!!

I would have kept that 69 and restored it instead of a 1981!!!

Thats a bummer Michael, but as you know, it's always worth it on these old Vette's! Also, I have uploaded 6 episodes on this Channel. Check 'em out!

Just found this channel. Cool beans love it. Just bought a ‘69 427/390 4sp Cortez silver and gunmetal int two days ago. I’m the happiest man alive, plus it looks good next to my ‘19 ZR1 vette!thanks for this really cool!

Hi friend, I'll do one too! Does this C3 go from 68 to 72? I don't like the rear end from 73 or 74 onwards...

A CORVETTE? Terry, are you going through a mid-life crisis? Or am I seeing a side of your personality I’ve never seen before? You’ll have to put a stove bolt straight six in that vette to redeem yourself! 😳😆😆 Personally the ‘69 Vette has been one of my favorites since I was in the 5th grade when my school teacher drove a yellow with a white top one to school each day! Best wishes on the new project!

Ha! 🤪 I always look forward to your comments Wayne. As you can see I have no self control when it comes to finding old cars and motorcycles that don't run. I really enjoy the challenge of getting them back on the road. Pure satisfaction and joy! When I was young I had '55, '57, '66, '68 and '70 Chevy's so now this came along and I had to get it rolling again. Brings back great memories of my youth.

@@FlatheadTerry I personally think that’s a BIG part of what this hobby is about. Recapturing memories of our youth. It’s a wonderful thing! I’ll be watching with baited breath each of your episodes!

I don't believe those sidepipes are original.
@FlatheadTerry2 жыл бұрын
You are correct Steve! Those are not original. Mike put those Hooker Header side pipes on in the early 1970's. This Vette is "period correct" though!
@stevedouglas54432 жыл бұрын
@@FlatheadTerry yes, it looks great. Do those headers bolt to the heads, and collect on the outside?
@FlatheadTerry2 жыл бұрын
@@stevedouglas5443 Yes, all four pipes connect to the large outside tube as seen. You'll be able to hear the sound of them in future episodes!
@stevedouglas54432 жыл бұрын
@@FlatheadTerry I've been looking to get side pipes on my Vettes. They sound great, and look great.
