It’s so funny since I’ve been watching this series and revisiting old playlists how all of a sudden I see these on marketplace and I saw a couple of Nomad wagons on there.. 😂 these phones spy on us terribly. 😂

I'm on the same journey. Working on a 69 G10 van that was parked outside in 94. Just replaced the fuse box with a box from a 67-72 C10 I bought off ebay. Huge rust holes inside. Really appreciate you making this video.

I remember helping my dad with his ‘69 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup. We couldn’t find a heater core however we were able to use a heater code from a ‘70 Ford Galaxy from an AC car. Hopefully a place to start on matching up a similar heater core.
@clunkersandclassicsАй бұрын
Pickups and vans heater cores are completely different

You’re suppose to de-pin the wires on the turn signal switch lower connector and pull the wires through the steering column.

You’re probably getting tired of reading my comments, but here is a cool little tip someone passed along to me, 1988-1993 Chevy S10 washer reservoirs are pretty universal, if you order the right ones on EBay they come with a pump and a pigtail (apparently not anymore) but I found the pigtails for another 9 dollars… WTF! For a pigtail? It’s thievery. They hold 3/4 gallon and fit in lots of different locations pretty easily.

Why do the tail lights flash opposite when the flashers are on and not at the same time? 28:34 . Moving right along with the repairs , cool!
@junkyardsearcher6407Ай бұрын
Just remember, if you use LED bulbs in your turn signals you need the new style electronic flasher unit so your turn signals and flashers will work properly.

When I rebuild columns, I fold the wires hard against the plug, put on a wrap of tape, run a hard wire or hanger up the wire run on the column and attach it with tape, then work the whole thing down. By looking at that little hole, I think the factory finished welding that piece after the turn signal plug was installed. Did you cut yourself?

Have u tried a sbc water neck bolt pattern maybe the same

1960-66 gmc/c10 heater core is probably as close as you could get.
@jefferywarburton2116Ай бұрын
The tubes would probably be a bit short from the looks of them so they may have to be clamped inside the cab or extended which sounds like hell but could work out with copper and solder like a water pipe would be.

Why do older cars have the fuze box all the way on the bottom of the floor board.thats the most uncomfortable place to work.i would have taken one out of the malibu.

Whats up with all these camaros cheveless vans from 1960s 1970s all have to have the radiaters replaced with a aluminum radiaters 🇺🇲 cant you just replace it with a original radiaters because the uluminan r ugly
@MikeekiM-vh5seАй бұрын
Aluminum is cheaper,thats why..
@sbc383zzАй бұрын

@junkyardsearcher6407Ай бұрын
Have you looked for a copper core radiator lately? If you can find them they’re pretty expensive.
@Robrt32Ай бұрын
400 dollars for a original for my truck. 150 for aluminum and 20 for a can of black spray paint designed for radiators. Do the math. You’ll see why

That online 6 was used up to 85 in squair body trucks and g body cars. South America the engine was used till 2002. Aside from a efi manifold, the engine is the same. I have one here I'm putting a turbo on.
@clunkersandclassicsАй бұрын
Yes but when they went to the integrated head in the mid 70s it made interchanging parts almost impossible with the older ones.
