We had a 71 Ivory white with white top, black interior, V8 automatic. My dad pushed it to the curb, wrote "300" (or something like that) on the window with a bar of soap. That's just how bad the maintenance got.

I’m with you! My first car after graduation in ‘72 was a ‘67 XR7, light green metallic, black vinyl top, and fully optioned for $1,375. I put white letter radial tires on it. My favorite feature was the wood grain interior with the “European-like” toggle switches. My mother always called it her favorite of the many cars I owned through the years. Cheers!
