Ready to jump in and enjoy is this nice 1969 Ford Galaxie XL two dr hardtop powered by its great running 429 V8 engine backed up by its automatic transmission. It comes equipped with power steering, power brakes, rim blown steering wheel, working philco original AM radio, hide away headlights, and is riding on a nice set of steal rims wrapped in newer red line radial tires with original hubcaps. This super solid California Car has rock solid original floors, frame, and trunk. Its exterior body has been repainted to a driver quality and looks real nice at 10 foot but is not a show quality paint job. Its red bench seat interior appears to be all original and is very presentable with an exception to a seam split in the front seat a few other imperfections. This is a great driving car that is a good looking Big Block Muscle car that drives great.

My dad was an area manager for North American Life & Casualty in 1969. At that time, the company was giving out corporate cars for their area managers. It was his daily driver. But what I also liked (when I saw it coming back to Chicago for summer vacation) was the paint job. If memory serves, at this time, Ford was coming out with "corporate colors". That year, I think, was the color called "Jade Black". In the shade, it looked black. In full sunlight, there was a beeeeautiful (almost metallic-like) dark green undertones. It looked like you could almost dive into it. When it came time for me to go back home to Los Angeles, Dad, his second wife, her son, and I drove cross-country in this car. I loved every day of the trip.

Solid car to restore right and mild custom correctly. The 429 is a torque motor. A good four barrel intake a cam and headers and you got a Qship. These boats will eat up interstate miles like a shark eats chum. Now I miss the one our family had.

Not too many of these big block Galaxies roaming around. Not a vinyl roof guy, But I'd keep it all original anyways. Nice looking and sounding car. For 11 grand it should go fast.

20 FOOT AWAY Jesus that machine is 51 years old. PLEASE do not disrespect the old girls. I mean anything you see on the road today "will not" be rolling around 51 years from today I assure you. And hammering around in it is truly unnecessary and immature. Anybody with any whit at all knows what that car is and what it will do. Aside the hubcaps beauty, good vid God bless
