I live in Newcastle South Africa. My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in August this year, and is currently undergoing radiation therapy in Durban, which is 350km away. I am lonely at home without her, and she has to be there alone because I have to work. I also have 2 teenage some to look after. I know that she is there to make her better. My point is, is that any cancer association that cares for or helps people with cancer are a God send. God bless you all.

Robbie, this vehicle brings back memories when I worked for Vic Hickey in Ventura, California where we manufactured Blazer off road accessories, roll bars, swing out spare tire racks, front axel trusses, etc. circa 1970. It’s going to be a cool project to follow.

Robby, My wife and I had this very same year and style of blazer. Had a lot of blazers but this was her favorite. At 15:28 those things you're looking at are called "splash pans" and came from the factory that way. I know these trucks inside and out, also had a 1970 GMC Jimmy 4x4 If you have questions I can probably help you.

If it was me, i would have put new Plugs, Coil, Wires, Cap, Button and tried a different carburetor. It wouldve given you a more in depth feel of how that motor performs. And if it performed well, id pull it out, take her apart and COMPLETELY REBUILD that motor, and maybe add a couple simple bolt on power adders because those years didnt have the most. And then after that, id have the Transmission overhauled as well. Just me though. I took an interest in Transmissions once i tore apart an RE5R05A out of my 06 Xterra and i find everything about them super fascinating.

@RobbyLayton Thats an awesome blazer you found for Demri an since its a Texas vehicle its rather rust free unlike the vehicles from Cleveland Ohio (where im from) but ive found if you dont drive your vehicle during the winter when the roads are full of salt they dont rust out or atleast not nearly as quick bc I have a '98 Prelude thats damn near rust free bc it doesnt see the roads during winters.. Thats awesome the blazer runs & drives so now yall can just do a quickish cleanup/fix wiring & engine tune up & do a lil bidy work with a nice paint job on the blazer so the boss has something sweet to cruise around in while the bronco is getting rebuilt then sometime after the bronco build yall can do a full rebuild of the blazer if/when its needed.

Most likely you will not read this comment or if you do I won't follow up. This is perhaps my most favorite video. When I was 16 my mom and step-dad gave me a 1972 Chevy Blazer that was pretty much all original minus the front seats. I had the Blazer for about 9 years and over the years I had rebuilt the engine, put HEI ignition in it, 3 core radiator, dual batteries with an isolater for my stereo, redid the fiberglass top, shocks, tires, transmission etc. Then it sat for a couple of years due to me being in college and gas prices rising. I kick myself for selling it. Want one now but they are super spendy compared to the 4500 I sold it for in 1997.
