When I stop feeling the need to go fast, I will know that I’m done. That said, I damn sure ain’t there yet. Rock on, my friend.

Nice car thanks for showing it off. In 2008 I saw a 1972 dodge Charger sitting for sale for 4,500 dollars one reason I did not get the car is it had bad rust but cars that age most of them will have to have major holes fixed in floor. It was like the one Catherine Bach drove one the movie set. Thanks for showing the car off. Nice Hot rod.

I totally love that it has a couple cracks in the dash, and that a little salt on the road doesn't stop my brother from taking her out for a couple rips!! It's not a collectible or a trailer queen, its a fun machine that brings excitement, satisfaction, and value to your life.... (although it will always be worth money) I would love to take that sweet ride on a top-down summertime ride!

From a guy living in the snow belt, you don't want your treasured collector car out in the salt. The early 70's vehicles had rust through in as little as 2 to 3 years back when daily drivers, in that environment.

But Finally someone who gives what these mopars were built to be. Tired of these “ i need to go easy on my numbers matching hemi E body”. Hell no beat on them like you stole it. People bash on mopar but the LA , B and RB engines are strong engines. Much respect

Yup i'm tired of seeing these videos of these old muscle cars only getting driven up and down a driveway a couple times a year and not seeing any action... then the only time they leave the house is when they're getting taken ON A TRAILER to a cars and coffee...

Mopar ruled the drag strip back in the day...Chevy and Ford people bashed them because they always lost to Mopar!!! Our track here was nearly 40% Mopar 10% Ford and 50% GM...Mopar always was killer, people bash them because they're uneducated... Furthermore, people bash Mopar because the quickest GM/Ford and Toyota vehicles are still today powered by a 426 Hemi obviously more cubic inches and built-up aka in Top Fuel,Top Alcohol Drag Racing...Also Monster Trucks are mainly Mopar Hemi powered as are drag Boats...So, GM, Ford guys bash them because their brands quickest cars/trucks are MOPAR powered!!!! Yes, slap those blocks by a old 426 Hemi same thing as it is, yes remanufactured but still a MOPAR, Chrysler Corporation Rules!!! I bought/sold/restored old cars since a teen in the 1980's... I bought/sold all types of GM/Ford cars...Quickest GM is a Buick GS 455 that beats the Chevy 450 hp 454 ls-6 cars...Hemi,440 6bbl cars do beat them!!! 440 4bbl will kick a regular 460,455,454,427,428 cars butt from Furd and Gumby Motors... I owned them all...Thing is GM/Ford guys are big mouth smack talkers that's why Mopar guys look down on Furd & Gumby Motors rides as for years and years the GM/Ford guys smack talked them as they always bash a bigger, more powerful, better looking, driving, handling car!! Yes Ford/GM made powerful quick cars too but Mopar is all around a better car I turned many diehard lifelong GM/Ford guys into Mopar guys... Two brother in-laws for one, they smack talked my Mopar cars in the 1980's and early 90's... But I raced them and I always won... GM guy owned 455 Oldsmobile 1970 and GS 400 Buick multiple Trans Ams obviously easy wins as id 70's smoggers...Other Ford guy had a 1971 460 Torino and multiple new 5.0 Mustangs as he worked for Ford until the mid 00's...They both now own a pair of Mopar 73 Cuda,67 GTX the Ford guy has a 71 Challenger factory 383 2bbl rebuilt to a little better than 383 Magnum specs and a 1969 Road Runner and he still has a 1993 5.0 Mustang GT a true 40,000 mile car its like new...He doesnt like the 1994-up Mustangs but he owned them as he was employed by Ford and multiple new cars years as management deal thingy.. Odd thing is I own several classic Mopar cars and two mid 1960's Mercury's and a 70 and 75 Gm product lol...But Mopar Rules!

My favorite car. You can fix that cracked dash pad by filling the cracks with spray foam and sanding it flat. Then spray on some bed liner. It makes it look like a new dash pad again. You can spray paint over the black bed liner any color you want also. I did that to an ‘80 Camaro dash pad and it worked perfectly.

Nice Ride👍🥰 What did you do with the 8-3/4? It would have held up...but atleast you kept it MOPAR.❤ I'm rebuilding my 93' Dakota Reg.cab 2wd using the Trick flow heads. Getting the eagle stroker kit for my 318( going to 390ci). Just hung up on the cam. Going to get a custom one .600+ lift, just not sure on duration and LSA. After that project, hoping I can find one like that.. slant6 or 318 with a decent body so it won't "Break the bank!" A, B or E body. Always wanted a Hurst Hemi clone.🔥😁💪

@@JerseyMikeP I actually still have the old rear, hanging onto it, waiting on buying a garage find Challenger that I want to put it in and flip. I figure if I put it behind an automatic, it’s pretty much guaranteed to stay together even after 55 years and a couple hundred thousand miles. Good luck with your Dakota, the best thing about cam choices are they are not necessarily forever, you could always swap it out just checked that valve clearance!
@JerseyMikeP12 күн бұрын
@Hemivertible 8 -3/4 was stong( depending on which one 741, 742 or 489💪)All Hemi/auto combos came with them even the Hurst Hemis.... The 489 case has the Most ratios available of any Chrysler rear...more than the Dana 60. Been searching for one years, but here in NJ.. OLD PARTS/Old CARS don't exist. My Dakota's 8-1/4 has no chance☠️, LOL.

yep .030 over 360, hydraulic roller with 1.6 HS rockers on Trickflow heads, great combo, dual plane gives it solid mid range torque

@Hemivertible so do you know what horsepower is producing I mean has it been out or anything or is it just a seat of the pants gauge? I don't know if you've ever run this in the quarter mile or anything but I think it's just a fresh build so you may not have had the chance to run it yet but given the weight and the mile per hour will tell you your horsepower
@Thedoug36922 күн бұрын
As soon as you said it, I said to myself...driveshaft...yup 2 seconds. Yank it out, take it to the driveline shop n have balanced. Bye bye vibration. It does suck when your car vibrates the fillings out of your teeth lol.
