I love your channel and you have a great eye for car building. I say that to say this please for the love of humanity keep your seat belt on while driving.

Thankyou! I really appreciate it 🙏🏼 going to try and stay alot more active with posting. And keep progressing my content. This is what I enjoy doing. And I have a bad habit of that when I'm in my truck. And only wearing it in "sketchy" situations. I know it's not ideal and thankyou for the concern, I will try to do better 🤙🏼

I would probably just patch the stock quarters instead of replacing full quarters, many people have fitment issues with aftermarket sheet metal
@themustangfactory11 ай бұрын
Yeah a friend of mine who's older than me but had alot of experience with these cars keeps telling me the same thing about aftermarket metal lol. The upper quarters were solid but I really wanted to he able to the metal beneath them cleaned up and treated for rust. We will see if it was a mistake. Hopefully not to big of one haha

@@themustangfactory I don’t know about a mistake, maybe more work, who knows. Just now there are going to be a lot of welds to work and coat/seal when repairing them. I have a bunch of classics and I am not a body guy either, but from watching all the other channels and talking to people about fitment and possibly warpage from long welds, just additional issues. Jo daddy’s garage channel has tons of great info on body repairs and on many, he’s had completely different fitment from left to right on same brand panels and has had to do pieces cuts around the panels in highly visible areas where maybe you could do way less welding just doing wheel well and/or lower quarters. Either way, I really am enjoying the build so please keep it coming!👍

@michaeltereska7674 definitely going to take awhile to get them welded back in, mainly because like you said the warpage, I figured I'd do a little at a time and move from side to side. Let it cool etc. Rather it take me a little more time than have the headache of panels not lining up at the body lines, especially for the money they cost! I'm pretty much to the point of actually starting to weld stuff in, so I'm sure I'll get started on the quarters soon as well. And I'm glad you mentioned the patch panels. Definitely a better route to go for these cars with good upper structure. Definitely a lesson I learned that will help me on the new 1969 build!. Thanks so much man, I plan to get it done asap and document the entire journey forsure! Glad people are interested

I just did a dynacorn quarter on my 70 fastback. Fit up was great.

@rdspeedfab nice man! Cj had free shipping on orders over 49$ today so I actually ordered 2 sets of patch panels. Shouldn't have cut these all the way out but it's all good I'll know not to on thr 69 I just picked up now!

instead of crappy music during high speed video, use bad ass hod rod winding out the gears for a soundtrack. drop the crappy club music.

You're limited to what you can use due to so many copy right issues. Figure something is better than silence during a time lapse lol

This guy reminds me of V-Tuned Garage. LOL Hopefully he won't turn out to be as big of a failure as V-Tuned is. Pretty much every thing V-Tuned did was a total F-up. I can see this headed in that direction as well. As so far I can't see this guy has a clue what he is doing. He should have welded in a bunch of braces before he got to this point. So far not impressed.

I took a lot of measurements. Not much different than buying a fast back conversion kit and having to put it together by measurements in my opinion. But you're right I have a clue what I'm doing. But to say I know what I'm doing would be an over statement lol I just like doing things and building cars. I am pretty much an expert when it comes to putting these cars Mechanically, wiring, have even designed my own suspension that works well. I decided to do this project to learn more and get better at this side of things. Will it be a kindigit level build? Probably not. But I think it will be a nice car overall. And nothing will be half ass on it
