I like my Ricoh TV dial watch. It's very, VERY retro 70's. I get a lot of positive comments every time I wear it. It runs great, also. Most Ricoh watches will be sourced out of India because that was the primary market when the watches were new. Buying a watch from Indian EBay can be tricky- it's a real 50/50 if you get a good watch or not. But Ricoh's are cheap, most are about $30 or under, so it's not too much of a loss if you swing and miss. For as parts go, in my area a watch cleaning runs about $80 to tear down, clean, lube, and regulate (minus any parts). I can justify spending that on a really kitchy retro watch that already runs well and I like to wear, but I can' t justify spending money to repair a broken watch that I can replace for $30 anyways. The truth is that there are a zillion Ricoh watches in India for sale, if yours breaks, it's better to buy another one that works or maybe get a second watch with the same movement and swap faces/cases.

They're unique, and I love the asymmetrical case design. Evidently, Zodiac has a model with a similar design aesthetic, with a crown at 2 o'clock. It's beautiful.

Nine months later now and I’ve bought another 7 of these! Seems crazy but they are all working keeping good time fantastic faces really quirky And I paid around 11€ each for them on eBay. But as they are sent out from India some take months to arrive! Amazing value for an automatic but the straps are crap! Need to change them 18mm.

Is the quickset date done by the pusher?

Yes. Although on this piece, the pusher is a little tough to push down.

I’ve bought 3 Ricoh watches,quirky! Get alot of comments and they work well,only down side is it’s difficult to change the straps.

When I finally got my Ricoh from India it took 6months! It ran very fast almost double speed !!! After wearing it for a few hours it maraculously settled down to perfect speed! Can anyone please tell me why? Great looking vintage watch though.

It very much isn't. I confirmed its authenticity. Not too many people here in the States know about them, but people in Australia saw them quite frequently.
