That GMC Astro is a pretty girl! I used to work in a GMC dealership as a diesel mechanic; I worked on a lot of Astros; that one is the prettiest one I've seen.

I drove a 1977 and it looked just like that one, had a different paint job, the interior was very close to the same. Had a 430, horsepower 8V92 Detroit, single exhaust. Pulling hills with a heavy load, it sounded very nice, even with a muffler . Had the best heater, of just about any other 1977 truck I ever drove. Including a 77 K100 KW, 77 362 Pete, 77 Transtar International. The only other 77 model truck I drove that had as good a heater was a WT 9000 Ford (all cab over trucks )

Bert Grau in 1977 PETERBILT had the 352 Cabover. The 362 Cabover wasn't available until 1981.

My Daddy also drove a Red and White Astro95 with a 318 Detroit in it for Bearden, Lumber Company In Bearden, Arkansas in the Mid to Late 70s….
