Howard, I always enjoy seeing your vintage Christmas lights every year. Brings back memories of growing up in the 50's and 60's as my parents and grandparents had them. I still was using them in the 90's for my home. Can't wait to see the bike completely restored. I wanted to buy a new one in 1973, but settled for a 1971 Yamaha Enduro 250 that only had 600 miles on it. Take care sir!

Paint Booth, we don’t need no stinking paint booth. It’s really looking good. I use Rustoleum on all the “no see” parts on restorations too. I’ve never had any problems with the product, unlike with a few of the Name brands. Great content.

I hope everything works out well. I'm doing good now, some years after surgery and a little over a year since radiation.

Hello Howad. The bike is really going to look great when you are done. I like the contrasting black brackets. I found the Rustoleum "Canyon Black" to be a pretty good match to OEM for underhood brackets and such. George B.

It's been cold, but today was not that bad. The sun was out for a while, warming things up a bit.

Hello Howard, Your Xmas decorations really look good. The paint job on the bike parts is excellent. Looks like you are using the gloves I told you to try out. Take care and merry christmas. Clint

Howard, I just read an article for a 409 engine for sale, " she's real fine my 409" then read a comment from a guy who posted a pick of his 348 engine and caption was, " she's real great my 348" now I've been around and as you may recall I use to own 59 imp convertible 348. 3 on tree, never heard this phrase, thought you might get a kick out of it, a sign up in your garage with this catchy phrase might be neat.

I see you got a video out today! It's always cool when you sand blast parts. The paint jobs always look the best on these parts. I'm hoping you're able to have the frame sand blasted too. Good luck with getting a good price for it. You must have hit the garage just after I left this morning. Lunch was fantastic at Zehnders!
@OldCarAlleyАй бұрын
I'm hoping blasting the frame won't be too costly.... or it docent take weeks to get it done. I sold some Ford parts this morning, after that I started mixing paint. Did you go to Bronner's to check out there massive amount of Christmas stuff?
@Martin48964Ай бұрын
We usually go at least once a year to Frankenmuth and always stop at Bronners. This time was an extra visit. Gisele wanted to update our children's Christmas stockings. It was a fun day!

Looking good as always. Definitely cap screws on the exhaust IMHO. My CB400F had then and it was original.

Yep, for sure.

Looks good Howard,are you planning on redoing the tank or leaving it with the flames? I've been working off and on with an older Snapper self propelled mower and I plan on cleaning up the deck for a fresh paint job,it needs some work where the drive unit is concerned but nothing too bad though.
@OldCarAlleyАй бұрын
I'm leaving the tank as is.... I love the custom paint job. Thats one of the reasons I purchased the bike..... plus it was super cheap and a project.
