First, we adjusted the high speed setting which made it much easier to start. Now let's adjust the low speed setting and make it idle at a very low speed without stalling out.

Can u edit this video and explain what u are doing. Still lost after watching thru part 1 and 2. Im not experienced with outboards. So I for dummies video. lol

He's "fiddling" with turning it clockwise (more gas) to counterclockwise, the trick is counterclockwise until it idles really low rpm then clockwise 1/8 turn, just keep doing it until you "get the feel" for where low idle should be. You want it so that when you crank it that it's so low rpm that the thrust doesn't send your boat into a dock or somebody elses boat! Then pull the plastic knob out, place it back on with the pointer straight down so that you have 90d of play on it when cold/hot etc.

It varies due to temperature and elevation. Listen to the changes of the way the motor runs in the video.
