Recently pulled from hibernation. Just serviced by a professional mechanic. Fuel and brake systems were serviced. 51,000 well cared for miles.
EXTERIOR: It shows really well. The body is clean and straight. Not dinged up, it fits right, no rust. Believed to be original paint- ginger moondust metallic. It looks great, has a very glossy finish. Has some minor rock chips. Still has painted on original pinstripe. Jambs still look clean, original trim sticker is still attached. The white vinyl top cleaned up like new. The chrome and stainless trim is bright and straight. Glass is crystal clear. Has the iconic opera window, big Rolls Royce style grill and continental tire on the trunk lid.
INTERIOR: Living room on wheels. Best part of this car, it's like new inside. Soft leather upholstery, thick plush carpet. The door panels, instrument area is pristine. Not smoked in, ashtray and lighters are clean. A few buttons are missing from the seats. Cloth headliner is mint. The owner's pouch is in the glovebox with the books. It's decked out with all the power accessories, tilt wheel, cruise control etc.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Big 460, runs smooth as can be. Very original, never monkey with or spray painted. All the factory vacuum lines, air cleaner assembly, wiring etc. Features air conditioning, cruise control, power steering and brakes.

My dad was a Lincoln Guy from way back in that era... I remember him bringing them home from the dealership... He used to call them LAND YACHTS...LOL I REMEMBER BIM SAYIN THAT IT WOULD PASS EVERYTHING , BUT A GAS STATION.. UT WHAT A COMFORTABLE CAR.. THAT'S PROBABLY THE NICEST ONE I'VE SEEN IN QUITE AWHILE... @@martinvon9973 The '70 and '71 are my favorite Mark IIIs. A favorite feature of mine is the genuine walnut veneer used in the interior cabin of both years.

@@martinvon9973 Hallo Martin! Bin ganz deiner Meinung - die Mark 3 Modelle sind mit Abstand die schönsten "Marks" -haben die elegantesten Linien u. sind auch am besten verarbeitet. Da wären die 7o'er Modelle ohne Vyni-Dach am interessantesten, davon wurden nur sehr wenige produziert!! Dieses 72'model ist wegen seiner schönen Chromstosstangen sehr gefällig. diese gab es nur in diesem Jahr!! Schöne Grüße aus Österreich, und bleib gesund. Paß auf dich und genieße die Zeit da drüben! Ich leibe die Americanische Luxus Autos von der 60's und 70's. Besondere Cadillac und Lincoln Continental. Und wo wohnst du in Oesterreich ? Ich hatte dieses Land am Liebsten ! @@martinvon9973 Hallo Martin.!! Wie ich gerade gelesen habe, sind wir beide an den gleichen Fahrzeugen interessiert. Sehr schön, einen Menschen mit den gleichen oder ähnlichen Leidenschaften und Interessen kennen zu lernen. Nun, ich könnte jetzt stundenlang über meine Liebe zu schönen und vor allem eleganten Fahrzeugen berichten - das würde zu lange dauern. Nur kurz : Ich beschäftige mich seit meiner Kindheit mit Autos und da kommt man an einigen amerikanischen Ikonen natürlich nicht vorbei. Cadillac und Lincoln sind ja auch die bekanntesten. Aber es gibt ja auch noch viele andere Marken, die man leider nicht mehr produziert, wie z. B. IMPERIAL, Studebaker, Pontiac, od. Die berühmten Marken der 30er sind 40er Jahre (Duesenbergs, Cord, Packard od. Pierce Arrow, Stutz...) Auch hier in Europa gibt es ja auch viele interessante und berühmte Marken. Da bin ich mehr an älteren englischen, französischen und deutschen Marken interessiert. Ich bin 55 Jahre alt und lebe hier im schönen Oberösterreich, bin im grafischen Gewerbe tätig und bin einfach an allem interessiert, was man mit Kreativität und Erfindungsgeist noch schaffen kann. Gerade heutzutage wird es immer schwieriger, seine eigene Persönlichkeit und Phantasien auszuleben. Darum mag ich auch diese schönen Fahrzeuge, wo sich noch Designer und Techniker austoben konnten. My lincoln looks exactly the same and in the same condition with 65k miles but white leather brown carpet brown dash no rust im the second owner and i got mines for 4,250

Epitome of smooooth Only thing I can be negative about which is really reaching but Fomoco used same steering wheel in a Lincoln as in a Ford LTD, Torino, etc. but I’ll take it anyway lol

What a find! Very rare over here in the UK but we had one in for repair where l worked as a panelbeater in Torquay in the '70's , l loved it! The width of the doors compared to the Jaguars !(we were main agents). And what was the detective series where he ran a Continental ?Cannon? Thanks Jay .Take care and stay safe

The window motors were known for issues as was the carb but otherwise this is a fantastic car, I owned a 72 back in the day, the owner of Great Lake Dragway went for a ride down the 1/4 with me back in 1988 and he loved it! It took 3/4 of the track before she hit 2nd gear and ran a 14.8@94 which isn't bad for a monster 72 Lincoln bone stock.
