That is one of the most immaculately presented examples of a 1972 Lincoln Continental Mk IV-V I have ever seen. Well done Vanguard Motor Sales that is one stunning & beautiful gas guzzling 460ci behemoth land yachts I ever seen. Hearing the 460ci purr there means it's odometer is genuine. Whoa one rare Mk IV! Congrats hope it was sold to the correct buyer/owner. Concours d'Elegance example i.e. the best of the best - there is no higher standard. This vehicle is therefore eligible to enter any Concours d'Elegance show/event and it could easily win a trophy in its category. Congratulations to restorer/s and owner/s.

The issue with the 72 and the reason that there are so few around, is that the battery constantly supplied the power window controls. Many of them burned while in storage. Disconnect the battery if you are planning on winter storage. This is MY FAVORITE Lincoln Continental, ever, the 72. Loved it when I first saw it as a kid. I also love the 72 Imperial Le Baron 2 door, as well.

The 1972 Mark IV was the finest of the Marv IV's as far as performance, simplicity of style, and mechanics. I'm sorry this car doesn't have the steel wheels and correct hubcaps rather than these Mark V turbine rims. This is in stunning condition.

Agree. While I *love* the Turbine wheels on a Mark V, and they are what look best on that car, nothing looks better on an early Mark IV that it's original wheel covers, just like nothing looks better on a later Mark IV than the Forged wheels. It's obvious how these wheel designs were styled perfectly for each of these cars. This car is otherwise fabulous, and the new owner can always change the wheels if they want.

Actually, these must be 1980+ Turbines, as the bolt pattern from a '72 matches those, and does not match 1973-79 cars.

My great uncle still owns his he baby that car😂 always garage kept no rust or scratches or dents. I love that Lincoln. Currently sitting at 26000 miles he bought it brand new back in the day. I tried numerous times to buy it from him, but he's not budging 😂

The definition of MINT CONDITION!!!! And although it ma sound weird…. THANK YOU for keeping the original WHEELS and WIPERS! To me they are big part of defining a car’s era! Ford had the black wiper arms…. GM used the silver. And those wheels go with ANY Lincoln!!!!

Makes me think of an early 70’s tv show featuring a fat private detective who always had a brand new MkIV, who had a hard time not wrecking it when he was chasing the bad guys.
